Lesson Procedure

1. **Warm-Up (5 mins)**: Start the lesson with a cheerful greeting. Play the "Hello Hello! Can You Clap Your Hands?" song [link] and encourage the children to sing along and perform the actions. This will help them to warm up and get ready for the rest of the class.

2. **Making Fake Snow Time (20 mins)**: Start the activity of making fake snow. The recipe for fake snow is simple: Mix 3 cups of baking soda with 1/2 cup of white hair conditioner. Encourage the children to participate in the process and guide them through each step, using the target instructions. For example, "Look at the white baking soda," "Touch the soft conditioner," etc.

3. **Sensory Time (15 mins)**: Once the fake snow is ready, introduce the winter-themed sensory materials. Encourage the children to explore the texture and temperature of the fake snow and other sensory materials. Use the target instructions to guide students during the sensory play, like "Look at the snowflake," or "Can you touch the cold snowman?"

4. **Review and Closure (5 mins)**: Review the target vocabulary and instructions. Use the snow-themed flashcards to ask questions like "What is this?" or "Can you touch the soft snow?" Praise the students for their participation and efforts.

Remarks & Reminders for Teachers:

- Make sure to speak loudly and clearly during the instructions so that the children can clearly understand what they need to do.

- Encourage parents to participate in the activity and remind them to have their children wear aprons or smocks to protect their clothes.

- Keep the focus on enjoying the process of making and playing with the fake snow rather than getting the recipe exactly right.

- If the child finds the cold sensation of the fake snow uncomfortable, respect their feelings and don't force them to touch it.

- Ensure all activities are developmentally appropriate for the children's age. Allow them to learn at their own pace and provide assistance as needed.

- Provide positive feedback and lots of praise to motivate the students.

Part 2: Art and Craft Activity

Materials Needed:

1. Blue craft paper

2. Brown rectangles or twigs

3. Various materials for printing snow (pompoms, toothbrush, bubble wrap, etc.)

Lesson Procedure

1. **Instructions (5 mins)**: Explain the activity to the children. Show them how to stick the brown rectangles or twigs on the blue paper to form a tree. Demonstrate how to use the various materials to print snow on the paper. Show them the sample you prepared earlier as a reference.

2. **Art and Craft Time (20 mins)**: Let the children create their snowy day tree. Encourage them to recall the words from the story related to snow. As you walk around to check on their progress, remember to use a marker to write their names at the back of their creations.

3. **Review and Closure (5 mins)**: Ask each child to show their "Snowy Day Tree" to the class, ask them questions about it such as "How does the snow feel?" or "What color is the snow?" Praise their effort and creativity.

4. **Wash Up (5 mins)**: Guide the children in cleaning up their work area after the craft activity. This is a good opportunity to teach them about cleanliness and responsibility.
