• Skeleton model
• X-ray images
• Playdoh
• Plastic straws
• Clean-up supplies


Lesson Procedure

### 5 mins - Welcome Time
• Sing the "Hello Song"
• Introduce topic: "Today we're bone detectives!"
• Touch different parts of body: "What's inside here?"

### 5 mins - Bone Discovery
• Show skeleton model
• Guide children to feel their own bones:
  - Skull
  - Arms
  - Legs
  - Ribs
• Ask: "Are bones hard or soft?"

### 10 mins - X-ray Exploration
• Show X-ray images
• "Let's find these bones in our body!"
• Activity: Point and name
  - Skull
  - Arm bones
  - Leg bones
  - Spine
• Play "Find the Bone" game

### 20 mins - Strong Bones Investigation
Materials per group:
• Playdoh
• 2 plastic straws
• Paper towels

Instructions:
1. First Try:
   • Make a leg using only playdoh
   • Try to make it stand
   • What happens?

2. Second Try:
   • Make a leg using playdoh and straws
   • Hide straws inside playdoh
   • Try to make it stand
   • What's different?

Discussion Questions:
• Which leg stands better?
• Why do we need bones?
• How do bones help us?

### 5 mins - Wrap-Up
• Review: "What did we learn about bones?"
• Sing "Goodbye Song"
