L1 Common Pets

Learning Objectives:

•  Apply the target sentence structures: 1. "What pets do you have at home?"
  Expected answer: "I have a [pet]." / "I have [number] [pets]."
  2. "Tell me about your pet."
  Expected answer: "My [pet] is [color]. It is [big/small]."
  3. "What does your pet like to do?"
  Expected answer: "My [pet] likes to [play/sleep/run]."
  4. Open-ended: Show various pet pictures and ask "Which pet would you like to have?"
  (Let children explain their choice)

Learning Procedure:

1. 5 mins - Greeting

- Welcome the students and set a positive tone for the day.

2. 10 mins - Speaking Activity 1

- Practice constructing sentences using target sentence structure.

3. 10 mins - Speaking Activity 2

- Engage in pair or group activities where students practice using target sentence structure.

4. 5 mins - Goodbye / Closing

- Recap the speaking activities, encourage practice, and say goodbye.
