L2 Unusual Pets

Learning Objectives:

•  Apply the target sentence structures: 1. "Which of these animals has a tail?"
  Expected answer: "The [animal] has a tail."
  2. "What color is the [animal]?"
  Expected answer: "The [animal] is [color]."
  3. "Where does a [frog/lizard/spider/mouse] live?"
  Expected answer: "A [animal] lives in/on [place]."
  4. Open-ended: Show picture of different pets and ask "Which of these would make a good pet?"
  (Let children explain their thoughts)

Learning Procedure:

1. 5 mins - Greeting

- Welcome the students and set a positive tone for the day.

2. 10 mins - Speaking Activity 1

- Practice constructing sentences using target sentence structure.

3. 10 mins - Speaking Activity 2

- Engage in pair or group activities where students practice using target sentence structure.

4. 5 mins - Goodbye / Closing

- Recap the speaking activities, encourage practice, and say goodbye.
