L1 Wild Animals

Learning Objectives:

•  Apply the target sentence structures: 1. "What animals can you see at the zoo?"
  Expected answer: "I can see [animals] at the zoo."
  2. "What is your favourite zoo animal?"
  Expected answer: "My favourite zoo animal is the [animal]."
  3. "Tell me about your favourite zoo animal."
  Expected answer: "My favourite animal is the [animal]. It is [big/small/tall] and [color]."
  4. Picture Description: "Look at the picture. What animals can you see?"
  Expected answer: "I can see a [animal]. It is [color/size]."
  "There is also a [animal]."

Learning Procedure:

1. 5 mins - Greeting

- Welcome the students and set a positive tone for the day.

2. 10 mins - Speaking Activity 1

- Practice constructing sentences using target sentence structure.

3. 10 mins - Speaking Activity 2

- Engage in pair or group activities where students practice using target sentence structure.

4. 5 mins - Goodbye / Closing

- Recap the speaking activities, encourage practice, and say goodbye.
