L2 Animal Actions

Learning Objectives:

•  Apply the target sentence structures: 1. "What is the [animal] doing?"
  Expected answer: "The [animal] is [action]-ing."
  2. "Can [animals] [action]?"
  Expected answer: "Yes, [animals] can [action]."
  "No, [animals] cannot [action]."
  (Example: "Can elephants climb?" "No, elephants cannot climb.")
  3. Picture sequence: "What are these animals doing?"
  Expected answer: "The [animal] is [action]-ing."
  "Then the [animal] [action]-s."

Learning Procedure:

1. 5 mins - Greeting

- Welcome the students and set a positive tone for the day.

2. 10 mins - Speaking Activity 1

- Practice constructing sentences using target sentence structure.

3. 10 mins - Speaking Activity 2

- Engage in pair or group activities where students practice using target sentence structure.

4. 5 mins - Goodbye / Closing

- Recap the speaking activities, encourage practice, and say goodbye.
