L1 Zodiac Animals (Part 1)

Learning Objectives:

•  Apply the target sentence structures: 1. "Tell me about the [zodiac animal]."
  Expected answer: "The [animal] is [big/small/strong/clever]."
  "The [animal] likes to [characteristic action]."
  2. "Which animal comes [first/second/third/fourth/fifth/sixth]?"
  Expected answer: "The [animal] comes [ordinal number]."
  (Example: "The rat comes first.")
  3. "Which animal comes before/after the [animal]?"
  Expected answer: "The [animal] comes before the [animal]."
  "The [animal] comes after the [animal]."
  (Example: "The ox comes after the rat." "The rat comes before the ox.")
  4. Picture Description: "Look at these zodiac animals. Which is your favorite?"
  Expected answer: "My favorite is the [animal]."
  "I like the [animal] because it is [characteristic]."

Learning Procedure:

1. 5 mins - Greeting

- Welcome the students and set a positive tone for the day.

2. 10 mins - Speaking Activity 1

- Practice constructing sentences using target sentence structure.

3. 10 mins - Speaking Activity 2

- Engage in pair or group activities where students practice using target sentence structure.

4. 5 mins - Goodbye / Closing

- Recap the speaking activities, encourage practice, and say goodbye.
