Preparation

### Class Details:
1. Warm-Up (5 mins): Greet the children with an animal-themed song or chant that introduces jungle animals to set the stage for today's lesson.
2. Animals Introduction (5 mins): Show the flashcards/toys and introduce each jungle animal one by one. Have the children repeat ager you and practice the sounds each animal makes.
3. Storytelling (10 mins): Tell the story "Zoo Day" using the book or images. Pause throughout to point to the animals and ask, "What animals can you see?" Encourage responses using the target vocabulary.
4. Interactive Question and Answer (10 mins): Engage the children in a Q&A session using the target questions. Show different pages of the storybook and ask the questions to encourage children to respond either verbally or with actions.

Part 2: Art and Craft Activity
Making a Train Landscape
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this activity, students should be able to:1. Identify and name parts of the lion's face (mane, ears).
2. Develop fine motor skills through cutting, gluing, and coloring.
3. Engage in imaginative play by pretending to be a lion with the mask.
Materials List:
- Paper plates with a pre-cut circle in the middle for the face
- Paper strips of different earth-tone colors (brown, yellow, tan)
- Triangular pieces of paper for ears
- Popsicle sticks for handles
- Glue sticks
- Crayons or markers
Class Details:
1. Introduction (5 mins): Show the children a completed lion mask and explain that they will be making their own. Introduce the different parts of the mask they will create: the mane, ears, and handle.
2. Assembling the Lion Mask (10 mins): Demonstrate how to glue the paper strips around the edge of the paper plate to make the mane. Help the children glue on the triangular ears and attach the popsicle stick handle. Make sure to supervise the use of glue and assist as needed.
3. Decorating the Mask (10 mins): Once the basic mask is assembled, encourage the
children to decorate their lion's mane with crayons or markers, adding patterns or additional
colors if they wish.
4. Imaginative Play (5 mins): When the masks are completed, allow Hme for the children
to engage in imaginative play, pretending to be lions. They can practice roaring and moving
like lions.
4. Clean-Up (5 mins): Guide the children in cleaning up their spaces, pukng away
materials, and discarding any waste.
Assessment:
- Check if the children can name the lion's mane and ears.
- Observe their ability to follow instructions during the mask-making process.
- Assess their engagement and participation in the crag and imaginative play.
Notes for Teachers:
- Prepare the paper plates with pre-cut circles in advance to save Hme.
- Encourage creaHvity and individual expression during the decoraHng phase.
- Provide help with difficult tasks, such as gluing.
- Praise the children's effort and creativity to boost their confidence.
Follow-Up:
