LESSON 4: Fruit Song (Part 2)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Music: Students will learn new verses of the Fruit Song
Drama: Students will review and combine all animal movements
Rhythm: Students will develop rhythmic awareness through movement

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Percussion instrument (brass pipe and wooden block)
All animal puppets/pictures
All fruit props/pictures
Movement markers/spots
Rhythm instruments (optional)


LESSON PROCEDURES:
1. Warm-up (3 minutes)
• Circle formation
• Making Juice Song
• Practice fruit actions

2. Verse Review (2 minutes)
• Practice first verses:
    - Bear/Coconut verse
    - Alligator/Apple verse
    - Wolf/Watermelon verse
    - Ostrich/Orange verse

3. New Verse Learning (3 minutes)
• Teach remaining verses:
    - Monkey/Mango verse
    - Lion/Lemon verse
    - Panda/Pineapple verse
• Add movements gradually:
    - Start with words
    - Add melody
    - Include actions

4. Animal Movement Review (5 minutes)
• Practice character moves:
    - Monkey's swinging/jumping
    - Lion's proud walk/mane shaking
    - Panda's gentle waddle
• Combine with fruit actions:
    - Picking movements
    - Carrying positions
    - Sharing gestures

5. Rhythm Development (5 minutes)
• Practice movement patterns:
    - Walking rhythms
