LESSON 1: Gorilla & Grapes

- Drama: Students will be able to demonstrate strong but gentle gorilla arm and chest movements in character.
- Music: Students will be able to sing “Gorilla brings Grapes, g, g, g” with expressive gestures.
- Physical: Students will be able to perform grape-picking actions with coordination and care.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
- Gorilla puppet or image
- Grape props (bunches)
- Purple fabric or paper
- Carpet spots or floor markers
- Percussion instrument (e.g., drum or shaker)

LESSON PROCEDURES:
1. Warm-up (3 minutes)
• Invite children to form a circle.
• Sing “Making Juice Song” with strong clapping.
• Guide fruit preparation actions with rhythm.
2. Gorilla Song Introduction (5 minutes)
• Present gorilla puppet or image.
• Teach “Gorilla brings Grapes, g, g, g” melody.
• Demonstrate gorilla gestures (gentle chest taps, arm swings).
• Lead echo singing with grounded rhythm.
3. Gorilla Movement Exploration (7 minutes)
• Invite children to explore strong arm movements:• Swing arms gently in the air.
• Tap chest softly with rhythm.
• Stretch arms wide and slow.
• Guide grounded walking with bent knees and wide steps.
• Emphasize strength with control and calm energy.
4.Grape-Picking Sequence (5 minutes)• Present grape bunch props.
• Invite children to hold a bunch of grapes in their hand.
• Guide gentle “picking” of one grape from the bunch.
• Invite children to mime sniffing the grape.
• Invite children to mime eating the grape with joy.
• Reinforce purple color focus during the sequence.
