Final Speech Integration

Unit 9: Putting It Together 

LESSON 4: Final Speech Integration
Age Group: 2-3 years old
Duration: 30 minutes

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Drama: Students will be able to integrate movement, speech, and expression to perform their roles with clarity and confidence. 

  2. Music: Students will be able to coordinate singing with simple movements, keeping steady rhythm and joining group song moments with confidence. 

  3. Performance Readiness: Students will be able to face the audience, stay focused during group moments, and coordinate their actions smoothly with others on stage.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

  1. Fruit props (apples, oranges, lemons, etc.)  
  2. Floor arrows or entrance markers
  3. Assigned spot markers 
  4. Narrator script 
  5. Percussion instrument (chime or drum)

REMARK: If possible, carry out this lesson on the actual stage or performance space to help children become familiar with entrances, center positions, and exits in the real environment.


LESSON PROCEDURES:
1. Warm-up (3 minutes)

• Invite children to form a circle.
• Guide singing of the Making Juice Song with designed movements to warm up voices. 
 

2. Introduce Today’s Focus: Final Speech Integration (4 minutes)

• Invite children to watch a teacher demonstration of:  
  - holding fruit props with open posture  
  - delivering a line with unified tone  
  - joining group movement for celebration  
  - freezing in a final pose  
• Guide attention to how all families must speak in order and move as one ensemble.  
• Invite children to respond to a character roll call using performing voice:  
  - When different Animal names are called, invite children to reply with a performing voice: “I am here.”  

3. Practise Scenes 7: Full Ending Sequence (20 minutes)

Full-Cast Entrance  

• Invite all families to wait at the entrance zone.  
• Guide children to listen for the narrator cue: “All animal families, come to the Bears’ house.”  
• Invite all families to enter together and move to their formation spots.  
• Guide children to face the audience with open posture.


Final Fruit Lines in Order  
• Invite Alligator Family to deliver: “We have apples!”
• Guide children to hold fruit props high, then return to still posture.
• Invite Wolf Family to deliver: “We have watermelons!”
• Invite Ostrich Family to deliver: “We have oranges!”
• Invite Monkey Family to deliver: “We have mangoes!”
• Invite Lion Family to deliver: “We have lemons!”
• Invite Panda Family to deliver: “We have pineapples!”
• Invite Kangaroo Family to deliver: “We have kiwis!”
• Invite Pig Family to deliver: “We have pears!”
• Invite Lizard Family to deliver: “We have limes!”
• Invite Gorilla Family to deliver: “We have grapes!”
• Guide children to maintain ensemble focus and stillness while other groups speak.

Bears’ Final Lines & Group Movement 

• Invite Bears to step slightly forward for their final spoken lines.  
• Guide Bears to deliver: “Let’s make rainbow juice together!”  
• Invite all families to shift into the juice‑making formation.  
• Guide children to begin the song verse on cue.
 

Celebration Lines & Freeze Pose  

• Invite Bears to deliver: “The juice is ready! Let’s share!”
• Guide all families to join the celebration movement.
• Invite children to sing the final song with open posture.  
• Guide children into a final freeze pose facing the audience.  

4. Cool Down (2 minutes)

• Invite children to return to circle.  
• Lead soft breathing and gentle stretching.  

 


ASSESSMENT:

- Observe unified tone during final fruit lines.  
- Assess ensemble movement during celebration moments.  
- Evaluate stage presence during singing and freeze poses.  
- Monitor smooth integration of all final spoken lines.
