10 mins - Hands-On Challenge 3: Organ Function Charades

• Teacher prepares organ pieces from the model: heart, lungs, brain, stomach, intestine, and bones/rib cage.

• Introduce each organ one by one:

  1. Heart - "Pumping blood"

Action: Make a heart shape with hands, then open and close hands to mimic pumping.

  2. Lungs - "Breathing"

Action: Place hands on chest, exaggerate breathing in and out.

  3. Brain - "Thinking"

Action: Tap index finger on temple, then open hand above head like an idea popping up.

  4. Stomach - "Digesting food"

Action: Rub tummy in circular motion.

  5. Intestine - "Moving food"

Action: Make a squiggly motion with hand in front of stomach.

  6. Bones/Rib cage - "Protecting organs"

Action: Cross arms over chest and stand tall.

• For each organ:

  - Teacher shows the organ piece from the model.

  - Introduces its function with a simple sentence.

  - Demonstrates the corresponding action.

  - Invites students to repeat the sentence and follow the action.

• After introducing all organs, start with 2-3 organs for the guessing game:

  - Invite one student to come forward.

  - Student draws an organ piece without showing others.

  - Student acts out the function using the learned action.

  - Other students guess which organ it is.

• As students become more familiar, gradually add more organs to the guessing game.

• Encourage students to say the organ name and its function when guessing, e.g., "It's the heart. The heart pumps blood."

• Continue the game, allowing different students to act out the organs.

3 mins - Wrap-Up

• Recap: "Today we learned about the amazing organs in our body!"

• Sing the "Goodbye Song"
