Lesson Procedure:
1. Warm-up (10 mins)
Start the lesson with a cheerful greeting. Introduce the topic and target language. Encourage students to listen and repeat the phrases, "What's your name?" and "How old are you?" to practice pronunciation.
2. Activity 1 (10 mins)
Invite students to participate in a 'Name Ball' game. Facilitate the game by starting with your introduction and passing a softball to a student. Monitor the game to ensure each student gets a turn.
3. Dialogue Practice 1 (20 mins)
- **Part 1:** Pair up students and distribute a set of student cards to each pair. Ask them to practice the dialogue, "Is your name ...?" and "Yes, it is." or "No, it isn't. It's ...".
**Part 2:** Form small groups and encourage them to continue the dialogue practice. Throughout both parts, observe their performance and provide correction and guidance as necessary.
4. Activity 2 (10 mins)
Facilitate a 'Number Line' game. Draw a number line from 6 to 8 on the board and ask each student, "How old are you?" Guide them to point to the correct number on the line.
5. Dialogue Practice 2 (20 mins)
**Part 1:** Pair the students again and distribute a set of student cards to each pair. Instruct them to practice the dialogue, "How old are you?" and "I am...".
**Part 2:** Form small groups and encourage them to continue the dialogue practice. Throughout both parts, observe their performance and provide correction and guidance as necessary.
6. My Talking Time (10 mins)
Instruct students to draw a small picture of themselves on a piece of paper and write their name and age. Encourage each student to stand up, show their drawing, and introduce themselves using the target language.
7. My Review Time (10 mins)
Review the lesson by asking the target questions, "What's your name?" and "How old are you?" to individual students. Encourage them to respond using the target language. Provide praise and correction as necessary.
